Dilly Bean Recipe

Dilly Beans


  • Green beans
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper or 1 cut jalapeno
  • Garlic
  • Dill
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 2 1/2 cups vinegar
  • 1/4 cup salt

  1. Wash and put green beans lengthwise in a jar.
  2. Add about 3 cloves of garlic per quart and 1 jalapeno or 1/4 tsp cayenne per quart.
  3. Add dill seed, weed, and a few dill sticks per quart.
  4. Boil water, vinegar and salt and pour over beans.
  5. Seal and water bath 5-10 minutes.
